 Italian Country Ribs

Ingredients: 

2 lbs Country Style Ribs
8 oz Mushrooms, Sliced
¼ C Red Wine
1 m onion, Chopped
1 Clove Garlic
1 Tbsp Hart's Desire Italian Herbs
1 6-oz Can Tomato Paste
1 16-oz can Diced Tomatoes
Olive Oil for Sauteing

 

Directions: 

Preheat Oven to 300

1. Heat oven safe dutch oven on High with 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil. Brown Ribs on each side for appx 1 Min, or until each face has good browning.

2. Remove Ribs to a seperate Container.

3. Add more oil if needed, and Brown Onions, Garlic, and Mushrooms.

4. Add Red Wine and Diced tomatoes, scrape up brown bits off bottom of pan (deglaze).

5. Add Tomato Paste, and Italian Herbs. Stir in well, leave no lumps of Paste. 

6. Nestle Each of the ribs into this mixture, covering the tops of the ribs. 

7. Cover, and Put into oven for 4 hours.
