Beef Stew!

Ingredients:
1 lb Beef cut into about 1” cubes
1 Lg onion
2 Cloves Garlic
2 large Carrots
½ lb cubed Potatoes (or about 8 New Potatoes)
4-8 oz Mushrooms (optional)
32 oz (4 c) Beef Broth
1 ½ Tsp Provincial Poultry
½ tsp Fresh Black Pepper
3 Tbsp Tomato Paste
2 Tbsp (as needed) Flour or Flax Seed as Thickener


Instructions:
  1. Brown beef, remove from pot
  2. Brown Onion, Garlic, and Mushrooms
  3. Add Tomato Paste and quickly brown. 
  4. Add about 1 C of broth and de-glaze the pan (get all the brown stuff off the bottom)
  5. Add everything but the thickener, stir and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until Beef is tender.
  6. Remove pot from heat, Add 2-3 Tbsp to your thickener and stir well, making sure there are no lumps
  7. Add your thickener slowly to your stew, stirring well and serve!

    Method alternatives:

Add all this to your slow cooker before you leave for work, OR, if you're running behind, you can do all this in your Instant Pot! Use the Saute and Stew settings!
