Cranberry walnut salad with balsamic vinaigrette

Ingredients:
1 Clove Garlic,
1 tsp Hart’s Desire’s Italian Herbs
1/4-1/2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp flax meal (ground flax seeds)
1/2-1 tsp salt (optional)
½ c olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
¼ c balsamic vinegar
¼ c hot water
Salad:
5 oz (about 7c)Mixed Greens
½ c Dried Cranberries
½ cup toasted walnuts
4 oz grape tomatoes
Grated parmesan for garnish
Directions:
- Combine water and flax meal and whisk until thickened
- Combine flax mixture and all other ingredients. Mix until the Salt and Sugar are dissolved.
- Set aside for at least half an hour before serving so ingredient flavors can bloom.
- Prepare your greens, and toast walnuts
- Mix greens, and pour part of your dressing over greens tossing well to combine and coat.

Add the rest of your salad toppings evenly across the top of your salad, and serve.
*offer the rest of the dressing on the table for those who want a bit more*
Notes:
- Add the salt and sugar to taste.
- Sugar is added to cut the acidity and add an extra flavor enhancing element to the dressing.
- For extra dimension, add 1/2 tsp of Medium Chili Powder while combining ingredients.
